Do I need to pay a deposit?

To book online, you only pay a 30% pre-payment — there's no large card hold just to reserve. Depending on the car and the insurance you choose, a refundable deposit and an excess may apply at pick-up under the standard Collision Damage Waiver (CDW). If you'd rather have zero excess, you can add our Premium Insurance (Super CDW). We always explain the exact deposit and excess for your car before you confirm — no surprises at the counter.

Do I need a credit card?

No — you don't need a credit card. We accept:

  • Cash in EUR (at pick-up)
  • Debit cards (Visa & Mastercard)
  • Credit cards
  • PayPal (for online payments)

This makes Arenda a good fit if you travel without a credit card.

How much does delivery and pick-up cost?

We deliver anywhere in Paphos — your hotel, apartment, villa, or the airport. Charges depend on the location and the time:

  • Our office (Paphos City Center) — free during office hours (09:00–18:00); €30 outside office hours.
  • Paphos Airport (PFO) — €10 per direction during office hours (09:00–18:00); an extra €20 per direction applies outside office hours.
  • Anywhere else in Paphos district (hotels, villas, apartments) — €0.70 per km from our office.

Just tell us where and when, and the car will be ready for you — no need to queue at a counter or take a shuttle bus.

What's included in the price?

Our rental rates include:

  • VAT (19%) — included in the rate
  • Third-party (liability) insurance
  • Unlimited mileage on rentals of up to 3 days
  • Free pick-up at our office during office hours (09:00–18:00)

Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) with an excess is available, and you can reduce the excess to zero with our optional Premium Insurance. Fuel is not included: you return the car with the same fuel level you received it with (same-to-same). Airport and address delivery are charged separately — see our delivery charges above.

What are the age and driving-licence requirements?

Driving licence: all drivers must hold a full valid driving licence and show a valid ID card or passport at pick-up.

Age: the minimum age is 18 and the maximum is 75.

  • 25 and over: no driving-experience condition.
  • 21–24: must have at least 3 years' driving experience, plus a Young Driver fee of €0/day (max 10 days).
  • 71–75: Senior Driver fee of /day (max 10 days).
  • 18–24 without 3 years' experience ("Junior"): by request only — please contact us at info@arendacyprus.com or WhatsApp +357 97 81 82 85.
What is your cancellation policy?

For a 100% prepaid booking, you get a full refund (minus any banking fees) if you let us know at least 30 days before pick-up. For cancellations with less than 30 days' notice, we refund 50% of the voucher value. No refund is available for cancellations made less than 7 days before the rental date.

To cancel, just send us a WhatsApp or email and we'll take care of it.

Can I drive outside the Republic of Cyprus?

Vehicles must stay within the Republic of Cyprus, and off-road driving is not allowed. Under Cyprus law, cars taken into the Turkish-occupied area are not covered by any insurance — if you wish to drive there, you must first request approval by contacting us at info@arendacyprus.com or +357 97 81 82 85 (WhatsApp, Viber, or Telegram).

What should I do in case of an accident or breakdown?

Call us immediately on +357 97 81 82 85 (also on WhatsApp).

  • For accidents: also call the emergency services on 112 (or 199) and don't move the vehicle until the police arrive.
  • For a mechanical breakdown due to unforeseeable circumstances, we'll provide a replacement vehicle; if none is available, we refund the amount for the remaining days of the contract.
Can I extend my rental?

Yes — just contact us by WhatsApp or email before your original return date so we can extend your insurance cover and check availability. If you return the car earlier than agreed, please note we may not refund the remaining days.

How can I pay?

Online: debit card, credit card, or PayPal.

At pick-up (locally): cash, debit card, or credit card.

For online payments before your trip, just ask and we can send you a secure PayPal payment link.
