Can I rent a car in Paphos with no deposit?
Yes. With Full insurance, you can rent a car at Arenda in Paphos with no large security deposit. You confirm your booking online with a small pre-payment and pay the balance on pick-up — we do not freeze a deposit on your card for the duration of the rental. Rates start from €27 per day, with VAT and insurance included.
Do I need a credit card to rent a car in Paphos?
No. Unlike most international desks, we do not require a credit card. You can pay by debit card, cash or PayPal. This makes Arenda one of the few Paphos rentals genuinely open to travellers who don't have — or don't want to use — a credit card.
Is there any refundable excess or hold at all?
There is no credit-card hold. Depending on the car and the insurance option you choose, a refundable excess may apply under the standard Collision Damage Waiver — meaning the most you would pay in the event of damage is capped. We always explain the exact figure clearly before you confirm, so there are no surprises.
Why do other companies ask for a big deposit?
Large desks block a deposit (often €800–€1,500) on a credit card to cover the insurance excess. Because we are a local Paphos company that owns and maintains its own fleet, we manage risk differently and can offer no-deposit terms while keeping prices low.
Can I pay with a debit card?
Yes. Debit cards are accepted for both the online pre-payment and the balance, as are cash and PayPal. You do not need a credit card at any stage of the rental.
Is no-deposit car hire reliable?
Absolutely. No deposit does not mean lower quality. Every car is serviced, fully insured and comes with 24/7 roadside assistance. We are rated 5.0 out of 5 by 729 Google reviewers — renting in Paphos since 2018.
What do I need to bring to pick up the car?
Just a valid driving licence held for at least one year, your passport or ID, and the debit/credit card or cash for the balance. Drivers aged 18 to 75 are welcome — no credit card, no deposit paperwork. A small Young Driver fee (€6/day) applies to drivers aged 21–24, and the same Senior Driver fee to drivers aged 71–75; drivers aged 18–24 with under 3 years' experience are welcome by request.
